I am actually old enough to have gone to this drive-in in Mitchell, IL just outside of Granite City. I saw Grease and Harold and Maude there all in one evening. Quite a combination, eh? I was just a kid but I remember it very vividly. There was a rusty swing set just beneath the screen. My best friend and I sat in the back of her mom's pinto complete with wood paneling. We were obsessed with both films~the morbidity and quirkiness of one and the flamboyant drama of the other. (I'll let you figure out which description fits which film...) Anyway, was thrilled to see this photo. Brought back some great memories. Thanks!
